The Crane Residential Resort commemorates World Environment Day

The Crane Residential Resort celebrated World Environment Day under the theme, Think. Eat. Save. Think.Eat.Save is an anti-food waste and food loss campaign that encourages you to reduce your foodprint.

The Crane participated in this global event by holding a showcase in the Town Hall located in The Crane Village on Wednesday, 05th June 2013. The showcase featured presentations from; The Future Centre Trust, Barbados Agricultural Development and Marketing Corporation (BADMC), Ace Recycling, Solid Waste Solutions and Eco Lab.

In addition to exhibitors, local environmentalist Loretta Duffy- Mayers delivered the keynote address. The Crane’s Landscaping Department and Green Team were present to discuss how the resort incorporates efficient water and energy use, food wastage management and sustainable development as part of daily operations.
